2008 Range Rover Sport LE

Friday, August 31st, 2007

In order to solve problems regarding air pollution, the British government plans on charging luxury utility vehicle owners an amount of $50 per day if they want to drive in London. The $50 charge will be used to take the necessary measures for taking care of the environment as well as cleaning the air in the best way the British government deem possible. This plan is brought about the idea that luxury vehicles are not quite friendly to the environment. Hence, the government is thinking of having a charge to cover for the cost to repair the damage done to the environment.

The abovementioned plan of the British government is in not applicable to the United States. For this reason, SUVs are present as ever in the United States. Luckily, a Diesel Range Rover Sport has similar fuel economy to many normal saloon cars. In fact, a vast majority of Range Rovers and Land Rover engine parts that are being sold in the United Kingdom are powered by diesel. Buyers from the United States continue to gobble up SUVs regardless of the environmental cost. According to the records, Sport Utility Vehicles and trucks alike still continue to persist in the market even with the continuing elevated gas prices.

Vehicles such as the Land Rover and Range Rover are equipped with Land Rover parts that can help in fuel economy. And to extend Land Rover’s gratitude to American SUV buyers, Land Rover plans to bequeath 250 versions of the Range Rover Sport with an exclusive Limited Edition package, which would only be available in North America.

2008 Range Rover’s New Armrest

Thursday, August 30th, 2007

The Range Rover has already earned its name and reputation when it comes to good performing SUVs that are out on the market. It was able to earn its reputation by offering superior off-road capabilities. As a matter of fact, it offers the same road capacity with its safari-style Land Rover sister-marque. Aside from road performance, it also offers the same lavish comforts and a considerable number of the performance capabilities of its luxurious cousin Jaguar.

The thing that sets the Range Rover apart from the Jaguar is its new armrest. Now, one may think that an armrest is only an armrest. It doesn’t contribute anything to better the riding performance of the vehicle. Contrary to this belief, Land Rover parts like a newly designed armrest, is one of the features that makes Land Rover enthusiasts await the coming of the 2008 edition of the Range Rover. Having a new armrest that allows for more storage answers the need of Land Rover enthusiasts—who are mostly travel-loving people who simply love having road trips—for more room to enable them eat while enjoying the ride.

Having an armrest like the one in the Range Rover 2008 edition, enables road trippers to enjoy their ride. They can eat comfortably inside the vehicle and won’t waste any time to stopover to eat their meals. Aside from the armrest, the 2008 Range Rover also features Land Rover Range Rover parts like the four-zone climate control. There are also more interior wood grains to choose from: Storm, Alaska White and Lucerne Green.

Latest Addition to the LR2 Line

Wednesday, August 29th, 2007

The word has been going around that the Land Rover is going to add an extra trim level to its famous LR2 lineup. Last April, the entry-level Land Rover was introduced as a 2008 model. This model is considered as a great success. It serves to replace the Land Rover Freelander and is considerably attending to the needs of Land Rover enthusiasts.

On the other hand, the LR2 model has not quite set the world on fire when in comes to sales. In fact, the more expensive Range Rover and Range Rover Sport even has more sales and managed to increase demands for it in only a short span of time. Unlike the Land Rover that really set the blaze, the LR2 model apparently needs more honing or more models. For this reason, Land Rover is going to put another model on the line. This model is supposed to haul the LR2 to where it should be—considering what a great vehicle it is.

In order to add variety and more power to the LR2 line, Land Rover has come up with the Land Rover HSE trim level. This new addition is also a step to increase sales and is also a step higher from the base SE. The newest addition features Land Rover parts such as body-colored molding instead of the gray plastic of the SE, 19-inch wheels, a rear spoiler and titanium-colored door handles. As for its appearance, it has a sportier look. Although this is the case, the HSE will not go any faster than the SE since it boasts the same 230 hp Land Rover engine parts . The LR2 HSE will be released in November.

The 2008 LR2’s Interior

Tuesday, August 28th, 2007

At first glance, the new LR2 is good-looking and has a solid feel on it. It seems very much of a Land Rover as exterior looks are concerned. Now let’s take a look at the LR2’s interior.

Most who were fortunate enough to be able to have a test drive of the LR2 found its interior to be nice. It is remarkable for its buttons and all its touch points for they feel solid. Their solidness makes them all the more a delight to press and also, makes them worthy to be called Land Rover parts. For those who might chance on using the LR2 2008 edition will find that the controls feel nicely weighted. The vehicle itself practices good ergonomics. In this day and age, space is truly valuable, which is why the new LR2 best suits the needs of our time. Nowadays, space is a luxury. To have a spacious vehicle like the LR2 that maximizes the space it has is truly something.

With the LR2, the driver gets to have good elevation because of the high driving seat. This feature of the LR2 enables the driver to have excellent road visibility. Aside from this, it also makes the driver feel as if he or she is in a much larger vehicle. Apart from the visibility and the spatial impression it gives, the LR2 seats give due comfort to its passengers. It is not surprising that many of the would-be LR2 users would find that their LR2 provides for impressively smooth rides. They will be able to sit comfortably in their seats and enjoy their ride.

The LR2 boasts of a new inline 3.2 liter, 230 HP, 6-cylinder engine. It is very smooth and provides enough power to stay ahead of traffic. With the LR2’s Land Rover muffler, it is no wonder that the smooth ride on the LR2 is accompanied by a smooth exhaust emission as well.

Land Rover launches Sustainability Program

Thursday, August 23rd, 2007

Even with the reputation of providing quality-grade and sturdy Land Rover Accessories and parts to its consumers, Land Rover is still being plagued with another entirely negative image, that of being one of the worst polluters in the automotive world. Thus, the company has decided to set a more proactive tone in the designating Global Brand Communications Director Julian Whitehead to rectify such damaging associations.

Whitehead, who is presently enjoying the post of Global Brand Communications Director for two years previous to being the UK Sales Director, is tasked to lead the company’s sustainability program on top of his other brand duties.

Prior to such development news, Land Rover has already been taking the necessary steps to lower emissions from its existing fleets. In fact, the Land Rover currently manages one of the industry’s major carbon-offsetting programs, with the sole purpose of improving its Land Rover Parts. Nevertheless, it can be said that it is still an early stage for the program. For instance, the Land Rover Freelander, the company’s smallest vehicle, still emits the 194g of Carbon Dioxide per Km as contrast to the 140g per km recommendation of the European Commission.

The 2007 Land Rover Defender

And now, with Whitehead leading the helm, Land Rover officials are positive that the hurtful brand image pertaining to the vehicle’s environmental security would be greatly alleviated. As a Land Rover spokesman has confirmed: “This is something we have been focusing on for two or three years but we needed someone to uniformly coordinate all our efforts. Julian’s new role stretches beyond pure marketing.”

Relatively, news have emerged that Land Rover is in the brainstorming stage of launching a smaller and more fuel-friendly car, so as to reduce the problematic carbon dioxide emissions. This was reaffirmed by Geoff Polites, Chief Officer of Land Rover and Jaguar, in a recent statement: “Part of the sustainability process will include downsizing and smaller, more fuel efficient vehicles.”

The Land Rover Range Rover The Land Rover LR3

Land Rover has forged a partnership with Rainbow Media’s IFC for a new half-hour documentary entitled, “Action Indies: Extraordinary Location Scouts”. The narrative revolves around two scouts navigating around Los Angeles and the Australian outback in search of the perfect backdrop for Indie and studio films. And as the exclusive sponsor, Land Rover would be extensively integrated in the film.

Featuring running commentaries from producers, cinematographers, directors, and other key players in the film location verdict, the location scouts will be seen driving Land Rover vehicles all throughout the footage. Some screenshots are strategically designed to show viewers how the vehicles glide smoothly over rough terrain, while some showcases the superiority of the various Land Rover Parts and aesthetic designs. Land Rover Range Rover Sport will be the featured vehicle in the Los Angeles hunt, whereas Land Rover LR3 will be flaunting its off-road performance in Australia.

Alan Klein, IFC’s Senior Vice President for Partnerships and Licensing, declares in a press release: “We’re excited to be working with Land Rover on this groundbreaking partnership that provides them with a unique and creative opportunity to platform their brand.”

“This customized content allows us to strategically integrate Land Rover into an original film that will entertain and engage IFC viewers and continues the network’s overall strategy to generate revenue as a commercial-free network while providing value to its partners by allowing them to effectively target and reach consumers.”

When interviewed and questioned as to how IFC can promote itself as an ad-free program when it offers in-house sponsorship for specific companies to serve as marketing platforms, Klein has this to say: “The promotional vehicles we create are designed to reach consumers and engage them on a level where conventional commercials can’t compete. Rather than a traditional 30-second spot, each on-air promotion integrates the original content on IFC with the sponsors’ product in an uncluttered environment.”

“Even more unique to these partnerships is that IFC remains true to its ‘TV. Uncut’ brand by working with partners whose brand positioning is in line with what IFC represents and the audience it attracts.”

This original documentary feature is set for release on September 1.

Expect to acquire inside information on the colorful work of location scouting, as well as to glimpse first-class Land Rover Range Rover Parts and the terrain-sturdy LR3 model.

Short-Listed Bidders for Jaguar and Land Rover

Saturday, August 18th, 2007

The elimination round is over.

Ford Motors Company has already invited its list of short-listed bid players to meet the management teams of the two firms that Ford has put on the market – Jaguar and Land Rover. Industry insiders have divulged that Tata Motors and M&M have been contacted for the said management meetings.

Sources have also pinpointed Former Ford Executives Nick Scheele and Jacques Nasser as part of the select few of bidders. Scheele is partnered with Ripplewood Holdings LLC, while Nassers leads the private equity firm of JPMorgan Chase called One Equity Partners.

Part of the management discussion would revolve on Ford seeking the guarantee of the shortlisted players that whoever is the chosen company would be amenable to particular conditions. One of such situations is ensuring that the UK factories of the two firms will continue production to safeguard UK jobs. Jaguar has three factories in Coverty, Birminghan, and Liverpool; while Land Rover occupies the West Midlands. The said UK factories have been in operation for at least five years and currently have a combined manpower of 19,000 workers.
