Land Rover Freelander 2 Enters Philippine Market

This month proved to be a meaningful period for Formula Sports, Inc. (FSI), known distributor of Jaguar, Maserati, Ferrari, and Land Rover vehicles in the Philippines, as it launched the second-generation Freelander in the Philippine automotive market.

It was back in 2004 when the original Land Rover Freelander was launched in the Philippines by FSI, and comparisons can’t help but be made. As the world’s common opinion goes, this Freelander 2 is carries most of the Land Rover Parts that is ingrained from its two famous brothers, which is the Land Rover and Range Rover.

FSI Chairman Willy Soong accedes during the unveiling ceremonies: “The all-new Freelander 2 is a far cry from the first generation Freelander. This one is like a mini-Rover.”

In terms of market support, it would appear that the Freelander 2 would financially come out more strongly than its predecessor. According to Soong, the first series Freelander sold only about 10 units since its launch way back in 2004. The Land Rover Freelander 2, however, had already resulted to eight units in deliverables even before the official launch. And with its new look coupled with a coolly redesigned Land Rover Freelander Parts, it is expected to generate more interest in the days to come.

The Land Rover Freelander 2 is a completely built up unit that was manufactured in Land Rover’s Halewood plant in Liverpool.
