Land Rover does not only commit itself to providing car enthusiasts and adventure-driven people with off-road vehicles to accompany them on their hikes and other off-road activities. This automaker does not only commit itself to produce Land rover parts with exceptional quality, now, they’re into training programs as well.

Land Rover has recently won a deal to have the National Grid Wireless undergo a training program. National Grid Wireless is the leading UK supplier of large scale transmission infrastructure to mobile telecommunications operators and broadcasters. This training program has been developed so that the engineers who drive 4×4 vehicles will have knowledge on what to do and how to cope with the various difficult off road situations.

The company which Land Rover has signed a deal with ordered for a supply of 49 Land Rover Discovery 3 vehicles to the Highway Agency. This firm is the organization responsible for the maintenance and operation of the motorways of England and its major A roads. As Land Rover is into 4×4 wheels, the automaker is clearly an expert on the matter, perfect to teach the training course for the Highways Agency.

Andy Griffith, the UK Marketing Director of Land Rover, said, “We work with emergency services, police, and ambulance teams across the country. With nearly 60 years of experience in overcoming the elements and negotiating any terrain, we have a wealth of experience to share with organizations such as National Grid Wireless.”

“This specifically tailored training programme will ensure that the company’s field operations team has the knowledge and ability to use 4×4 vehicles safely and effectively; in all weather conditions and terrains,” said Peter Sanders, the Genral Manager for Operational Services of National Grid Wireless.

Nine Land Rover Experiences are currently spread throughout he UK. Each of these courses sports a unique terrain or off-road courses which also have challenging terrains and surfaces drivers could encounter. Thus, the Land Rover Experiences provide a perfect setting in which the trainees could train in off-road conditions with the guidance of experts and trained instructors provided for by Land Rover.

This is not the first time for Land Rover to offer its help as it the automaker has also been involved in some conservation programs worldwide. These programs have proved to be very beneficial to some local communities. It also supplies a quarter of the global aid agency market. Land Rover has performed essential roles as without the use of its vehicles, some of the emergency operations and rescure missions would not be successful.

Land Rover is proud as there are a lot of its vehicles rolling off in terrains some vehicles or regular cars will not dare to pass through.
