Land Rover sales stay strong

Not even the rumors about Ford scrapping the luxury brand Land Rover can stop this pool of high-end SUVs as this year’s revenue in the United Kingdom is expected to exceed the recorded sales of 2006 to as much as 85 percent, according to the UK marketing manager of Land Rover.

Basing on the relatively good performance of the company, Land Rover units are expected to climb up to about 50, 000 units compared from last year’s measly 42, 800 units.

“It is looking at the moment like a record September for Land Rover,” said Andy Griffiths, who is the marketing manager of Land Rover in UK, to Motor Trader.

To help boost sales of Land Rover in UK, the luxury company is set to take center stage again in the upcoming 2007 MPH Show slated on the November 1 to 4 and 8 to 11. Now on its third year in the motor show, Land Rover models, which include the Land Rover Discovery 3 and Range Rover Sport, to showcase what they are capable of. Geared with top-caliber Land Rover Parts, these models are sure to give much delight to the brand’s patrons as well as automobile enthusiasts. Among the models, the Land Rover Discovery 3 is said to be the most anticipated vehicle of the brand. Equipped with the Land Rover Discovery Parts, this range is going to be part of an awe-filled display set in Birmingham.

Land Rover makes sure to participate in events like the MPH because these provide avenues for the company to showcase it has to offer. Moreover, such shows help promote the Land Rover models and boost sales.

“It is one of the strongest shows we do,” said Griffith. “The people there are really into their cars.”
